Abstract

The 2018 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel was awarded to William D. Nordhaus “for integrating climate change into long-run macroeconomic analysis” and to Paul M. Romer “for integrating technological innovations into long-run macroeconomic analysis”. J. Paul Kelleher reflects on Nordhaus’ work.

J. Paul Kelleher, University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States

J Paul Kelleher is Associate Professor of Bioethics and Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research focuses on ethical and philosophical dimensions of public policy, especially health policy and climate policy. He is currently writing a book on climate change and intertemporal welfare economics.
