As part of an article symposium on Partha Dasgupta and Sanjeev Goyal’s “Narrow Identities” (2019, Journal of Institutional and Theoretical Economics), Jean-Paul Carvalho reflects on the concept of narrow identity and the ways of modelling its emergence.
